Here's another tip from my friend Christina.
We love having fresh baked dinner bread every night at dinner. If I don't want to heat the house with the big oven I just bake it in my toaster oven. I make a small loaf usually so we don't over-eat 🙂 I sprinkle the pan generously with cornmeal and place a log of artisan dough on it. If there is time I let it come up to room temp before flouring the top and slashing. Preheat the little oven to 450 degrees for like 2 minutes and bake!
In our BC (before children) years I would bake a casserole for two in a bread pan. Or last summer I would make a huge batch of cookie dough and freeze it in little round portions. Then every day at snack time I would bake up eight oatmeal cookies in the toaster oven. My six-muffin tray also fits in the toaster oven.
Thanks, Christina! These are great tips!
