Our hamburgers Friday night were delicious. I added finely diced onions, parsley, salt & pepper to the raw burger. Out of 2 pounds of 100% grass-fed local beef, I shaped 6 (1/3 pound each) patties. I baked them at 375 degrees for about a half hour on a broiler pan in the oven. We like them done so I took them out of the oven after cutting into the center of the biggest one to see if it was cooked through.
Jeff ate a whole burger, while I sliced the hamburgers in half horizontally for the rest of the 4 of us. So the 6 patties fed us on both Friday and Saturday nights, since we only needed 3 for each meal.
A. and Jeff requested their whole grain hamburger buns to be toasted and the rest of us had ours plain and soft. I spread Vegenaise and homemade ketchup on each bun. I topped the hamburger patties with raw goat cheddar cheese and onion slices sauteed in red palm oil. They were a hit. We're ready for Friday to come round again. 😉
