Chocolate Banana Shake

These were a hit today! A tasty and healthy treat, perfect for a warm summer afternoon.
Chocolate Banana Shake
Serves 2

3 frozen bananas, broken into at least halves
2 tablespoons raw honey
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups almond milk (or other milk of your choice)

Green Smoothie: Banana-Raspberry-Spinach
If you don’t have a Vita-Mix, you may want to reduce this recipe by 1/3 or 1/2.
yields approximately 1/2 gallon

1/4 cup flax seeds, heaping
3 medium size bananas
1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
2 huge handfuls spinach
6 to 8 ice cubes
3 to 4 cups filtered water (enough to fill blender 3/4 full)

Green Smoothie ~ Sweet and Easy

We’re out of fruit, so I used apple juice concentrate and orange juice to make our green smoothie this morning. It was a little sweeter than usual, which we enjoyed!
This makes a thin smoothie. For a thicker smoothie, reduce the amount of water. Adjust the amount of apple juice concentrate to your desired degree of sweetness.
