Beyond Sugar: Week Three Check-In

Beyond Sugar: Week Three Check-In

By Wardeh on May 18, 2009

Woo! We’re on the third week of going without natural or refined sweeteners (Beyond Sugar Challenge)… is that possible? Before we started, I wondered how we’d (okay, how I’d) ever get through it! This post will be somewhat like a diary entry, okay? I’m just going to write my reflections of how it is going so far.

Beyond Sugar: Overcoming the Withdrawal Symptoms of Going Without Sugar

By Wardeh on May 8, 2009

If you’re a regular sugar eater, whether the sweeteners are natural or refined, and you are cutting back or going cold-turkey, expect to experience some withdrawal symptoms. But you can overcome! Basic Spelt Crackers (Sprouted)

By Wardeh on May 6, 2009

I am sharing this cracker recipe as part of Real Food Wednesdays (hosted by Kelly the Kitchen Kop and Cheeseslave). The "Beyond Sugar" Challenge

The “Beyond Sugar” Challenge

By Wardeh on May 4, 2009

With all the reading I’ve been doing lately about sugars — natural included — a nagging feeling settled over me that no matter what “natural” sugar I choose to eat myself and/or feed my family, we’re eating too much. For the next 30 days, my family is completely eliminating all sweeteners (natural or refined). Please join us and spread the word!
