RFQM: Proteins Q & A

Another Real Food Quote Monday (RFQM), another Q & A… This question comes from a reader, Tiffany. She asks, “I was hoping you could explain about the proteins in beans and legumes. I’ve heard some vegetarian friends say you have to have a grain with your beans to make a complete protein out of the nutrients. It just doesn’t jive. If the nutritional content is 9g protein per serving, isn’t that what’s there?”

RFQM: Iodine Q & A

Today’s RFQM (Real Food Quote Monday) is also a Q & A. Someone asked my husband recently about regular table salt – don’t we need the iodine it contains? The answer surprised me.

Today’s question is about the preparation of grains during Bible times. I’ll share my common sense answer, an excellent quote from the Weston A. Price Foundation, and also the audio file it prompted within the eCourse (another freebie). I can’t stress enough how open I am to your input, too. So if you’ve researched this and can expand on my simple answer, please do!

Q & A: BPA-Free Freezer Storage

Today, our question is from Jen, another college friend. She wondering about BPA-free freezer storage containers. Got any ideas? I’ve got a few and am looking forward to yours, too.

Q & A: Grain Mill Options

Today, we have two questions because they are both related to the issue of grain mills. They come from Jory, my college friend. She asks: 1) Which is the best way to grind grain: Vitamix (even though there is a danger of overheating the grain) or a grain mill? and 2) What are your reader’s experiences with Vitamix vs. Blendtec? Please, let’s help Jory out.
