I am sooooo excited about Crock On!, the brand-new crockpot cookbook by Stacy Myers. We in the real food community have needed something like this for a long time! Lovely recipes using mostly whole food ingredients, healthy fats, and natural sweeteners. And on the flip side — no cans of cream of soup or beans.
The author, Stacy Myers of Stacy Makes Cents, is a funny gal — you’ll love reading the book, not to mention cooking from it.

She says she owns four crockpots and is thinking of getting a fifth. Well, that makes us tied, as I have four crockpots as well! However, one of hers, the nesting set, actually 3 in 1, is a lot cooler than I anything I have.
Her book shares 40 mouth-watering recipes, each with a gorgeous photo and very nicely laid out, and you get to know Stacy, too. I love books where the author’s personality is as apparent as the quality of the recipes.
As I type, the first recipe in the book, Mexican Chicken Chowder, is in the crockpot for our Sunday lunch. You can see a complete list of the recipes here, including soups, sandwiches and wraps, main dishes, sides, and desserts. But I’m warning you… you’re going to be salivating. What would you say to one of these Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes?

Or how about some Honey Baked Apples and Pears?

Yeah, I thought so.
I’m happy to tell you that I have both good news and… more good news. Oh, and more good news.
Good News #1 — This cookbook is just $5. I’ll spell that out for you: 40 crockpot recipes for $5. Twelve and a half cents each! Recipes you’ll likely use over and over and over and over again. Recipes that will teach you how to upgrade your current go-to crock recipes to more healthy and less processed. Here’s the Kindle version, also $5.
Good News #2 — You can get 15% off, knocking your price down to $4.25! Click here to purchase and use coupon code gnow15 through 12/31/12 to save 15%. (Coupon good for PDF version only.)

And Good News #3 — I’m giving away 5 copies below. I suggest you purchase a copy for yourself anyway, and then if you win, you can gift someone else! This eBook fits both gift categories of frugal and awesome.
Giveaway: 5 Copies of Crock On! by Stacy Myers
I’m excited to be giving away 5 copies of Crock On!
This giveaway opens today and ends at midnight next Sunday, December 30, 2012.
A mandatory entry is to check out the list of recipes and then share a comment with the top 3 recipes you want to try. The rest of the entries are optional.
I want to mention that I do check winning entries and verify them to be true. If an entry is not true, it disqualifies that person and I move on to the next person. (Sadly, this does happen. And more often than not.)
The 5 winners will receive a PDF version of Crock On! This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere. Have fun with it!
And don’t forget — you can get 15% off through 12/31/12 — making your price $4.25 instead of $5! Click here to purchase and use coupon code gnow15 through 12/31/12. (Coupon good for PDF version only.)
The fine print: I received a review copy of Crock On! from Stacy, without any obligation to review or recommend it. But, it blew me away, so I’m happy to share it with you. I will also happily receive a commission on all purchases of Crock On! that begin here. Thank you!

New:

Hominy Taco Chili, Black Bean Enchiladas, Broccoli Casserole.
I would love to try these first:
1. •Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Lava Cake
2. •Cheesy Sausage Potatoes
3. •Broccoli Soup
yum…. I remember my mom using the crockpot all the time… First recipes I would make would be Mexican Chicken Chowder, Maple Sesame Chicken and the Italian Pot Roast with Noodles – those sound like they would make my hubby very happy!
double chocolate pb lava cake, broccoli casserole, italian pot roast! YUM
Cheesy Sausage Potatoes
Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Lava Cake
Mexican Chicken Chowder
•Mexican Chicken Spaghetti
•Cream Cheese Chicken

These all sound like they’d be a little more unusual than some of the Croc Pot recipes out there. My husband is a professional Chef and I’m on a mission to someday create a Croc Pot meal that he actually appreciates! I’d love to try these. Thanks for sharing!
Definitely the Mexican Chicken Chowder…I love that type of dish.
Maple Sesame Chicken
Buffalo Joes
Coconut Sweet Potatoes, Italian pot roast with Noodles, Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding
I’ve been wanting to use my crockpot more! All three recipes mentioned look great.
Maple Sesame Chicken, Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes, and Garlic Smashed Potatoes sound yummy. However, it wouldn’t be a complete list without dessert… So I pick Granola Apples!
Only 3? Spicy Creamed Beef, Broccoli soup, and either Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes or Buffalo Joes. I haven’t eaten breakfast yet and this is making me very hungry!

Cheesy Sausage Potatoes, Mexican Chicken Spaghetti, White Beans & Ham, Garlic Smashed Potatoes, Granola Apples….. I couldn’t list just 3!
Mmm! Let’s see: Enchilada Lasagna, Coconut Sweet Potatoes and Pumpkin Apple Cake all sound delicious — as do the rest of the dishes! I’ve been wanting more healthy crock pot recipes. Of course, I’ve only got one crock pot. Sounds like I’ll need a few more!

All of the recipes sound great! The ones that I would most like to try are the white beans and ham, Carolina barbecue chicken sandwiches, and the double chocolate peanut butter lava cake.
I am interested in these recipes:
Stuffed Pepper “Stoup”
Black Bean Lasagna
Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding
Wow, I think this cook book looks really great. I would love to try the cheesy potatoes.
Oops, I forgot to list the other 2 recipes:
Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding (my mother made one just like this)
Black Bean Lasagna
I would first make Stuffed pepper “stoup”, mexican chicken spaghetti, and beef and broccoli!
I can usually never find crock pot recipes that interest me, but these look good! I would like to try Italian pot roast, granola apples, and Mexican chicken spaghetti.
I want to try…in this order:
Maple Sesame Chicken
Creamy Chicken Chili
Stuffed Pepper Stoup
Broccoli Soup
Spicy Creamed Beef
Cheesy Sausage Potatoes
Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Lava Cake
and many more!
Hmm, I’m hungry — they all look good. I picked this three:
Cheeseburger Pie
Spicy Creamed Beef
Black Bean Lasagna
Thanks for doing this giveaway.
Top 3 would be…Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes, Chili pork wraps, and Upside Down Apple Pie. Thanks for the giveaway !
I would love to try these three recipes:
Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Lava Cake
Fruit Cobbler
Macaraoni and Cheese
Yum Yum!
Wow these look great, I would try some of the unusual ones first, guess I’m in the mood for some new dishes like: Pineapple pork loins or the creamy cheesy corn. But the honey baked apples and the white bean & ham soup would definitely be in the top 5.
I would love this book. My crockpot and I are BEST friends
Maple Sesame Chicken
Coconut Sweet Potatoes
Chili Pork Wraps
So many delicious sounding recipes! I think I’d start off with Coconut Sweet Potatoes, Beef & Broccoli, and Chicken Tetrazzini. Yum!
Would love to try the following (although choosing which 3 was a bit tough!):
Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Lava Cake
Enchilada Lasagna
Mexican Chicken Chowder
Enchilada Lasagna, Broccoli Soup, Creamy Cheesy Corn
This looks like a great book! I’d like to try the Maple sesame chicken, the black bean lasagna, and the coconut sweet potatoes (just for starters).
Broccoli Soup, Pineapple pork loin, honey baked apples and pears…..YUM!
First recipes I would try are:
Stuffed Pepper Stoup
Mexican Chicken Chowder
Garlic Smashed Potatoes
I want to try Cream Cheese Chicken, Creamy Cheesy Corn, and Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Lava Cake. YUM!!
Creamy Chicken Chili
Maple Sesame Chicken
Cheesy Sausage Potatoes
I would try the Cheeseburger Pie, Macaroni and Cheese, and the Granola Apples. Yum!
The first three recipes that I would make are Coconut Sweet Potatoes, Pineapple Pork Loin, and Garlic Smashed Potatoes.
Broccoli Soup, Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes, Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding
Decisions, decisions!
Though its a tough choice, I’d have to say that Deluxe Potato Soup, Beef and Broccoli and Pumpkin Apple Cake are the ones I’d try first. I’ve heard you can make baked goods in a crockpot, but have never tried it. I had a chuckle at “Garlic Smashed Potatoes”. We never called them ‘mashed’ when we were kids, it was always ‘ smashed potatoes’! Beef and broccoli sounds yummy, too.
I have five crockpots, but one of them is the set of three in one. I’m going to have to start using that one more for sure…..
