I want to start this post with a heartfelt message. I’m about to feature some special merchants and Christmas deals, and honestly I bring them to your attention only if you’re looking for another something special for your Christmas gifting. If you’re not, just skip this post.
As a blogger, a lot of opportunities cross my desk. I will literally stew for days about sending an email or posting another something or such-and-such. And this time of year is especially challenging in that regard! The last thing I want to do is waste your time or trust… or money.
The items I share below are a little off-the-beaten path. They’re not your typical Christmas gifts in that they’re made by a small home business or perhaps only a traditional foodie can appreciate them. Some are hold-in-your-hands and some are digital. The list won’t be long, but it is here — and again, only if you’re hunting for a special something. If you’re not, I’ll see you back here on Monday.
I’m going to start with the Christmas specials right here at GNOWFGLINS, and I’ll work my way from there.
Get up to 5 free “thank-you” videos and a bonus holiday menu plan
I am pleasantly surprised each year by how many people add GNOWFGLINS resources to their Christmas wish lists, so it makes me happy to offer extra goodies! Through December 31, 2012, we are offering:
(A class membership gives you unlimited access to ALL our online classes, currently 6 with a 7th being added in January, plus other things depending on which membership level you choose. The weekly menu plans and eBooks are pretty self-explanatory, I think.)
PLUS… all purchases get a FREE holiday menu plan. You’ll be serving a delicious, healthy, and completely real food holiday meal including appetizers, main dish, sides, desserts, shopping list, prep steps.

20% OFF DIY Organic Beauty Care eBook
Want to break away from toxic beauty care? Here’s your answer — the DIY Organic Beauty eBook by the lovely Heather Dessinger. It contains 50+ all natural, toxin-free recipes that really work.

$5 Crockpot Cooking with the “Crock On! Cookbook”
Love crockpot cooking but want some help switching to whole food crockpot cooking? You need the Crock On! Cookbook. It is a semi-whole food (mostly, IMO) crockpot cookbook containing 40 slow cooker recipes for soups to desserts, and everything in between.
Just $5 and available as PDF, or for Kindle or Nook.
It’s super easy to make a gift of a digital product. Just make the purchase and forward the download link to your gift recipient. To respect the writer or author of the digital product, don’t “use” anything being passed on as a gift. Make a separate purchase if you’d like it for yourself, too. Having said that, if you want to make a gift of a GNOWFGLINS product, do contact me so I can help make the process a little “prettier”.
15% off at MadeOn Hard Lotion (ends TODAY 12/15/12).
Nourishing lotion bars, bug balm, rash cream, hair balm, and more… including my new favorite, the tinted lip balms! Get 15% off using coupon code KNOWYOURFOOD through today 12/15/12.
I ordered tinted lip balms for all the special ladies in my life. Purchased in packs of three and using the coupon, I got a great deal.
Click here to browse or purchase. Don’t forget, today (12/15/12) is the last day to use the coupon!
Christian Jewelry from Amy Davis Art
My friend Amy hosts a lovely etsy shop with handmade jewelry. Each year I choose a few sets of earrings for my daughters and a pair for me, too. If I’m wearing earrings in a class video, they’re almost always from Amy.
This year, I almost got the the red earrings pictured above for myself. In fact, wish I had. So… if you get them, be sure to let me know so I can be jealous!
If you order by tomorrow (December 16, 2012), she can fill the order for Christmas. (That’s an extra day more than the etsy shop says — special for GNOWFGLINS readers.) Otherwise, orders go out after the new year, which might work out just fine for your plans.
Be sure to tell Amy I sent you and she’ll include a small gift with your order! Click here to visit Amy’s etsy shop.
Handmade Spurtles from Gassy Creek Gallery
Spurtles are a traditional Scottish stirring and flipping tool. These are just $10 and made from Oregon hardwood by Gassy Creek Gallery in Sutherlin, Oregon. They’re unique, lovely, and useful and every traditional food cook I know who has one loves it (including me).
Click here for purchase details, or give them a call at 541-459-3333 to place your order. If you act now, you’ll make it for Christmas.
Happy Christmas, everyone!
