I knew this month’s eCourse thank you video would be especially fun when Erin called me — while on the road for several weeks — and said she was taking videos of their sourdough adventures. She wasn’t sure if she would use the packed starter or not, and planned for low maintenance starter care.
But inspiration hit, and she made pancakes twice. Besides her sweet family and boys that are just too precious, the hot car and bugs provided fun moments on film.
This video (did I mention yet that you’re going to love it?) is more than 20 fabulous minutes of fun, fun, fun! And Erin talks about what she learned while traveling with sourdough. Which is, of course, great benefit to all of us. As a bonus, Erin shares how she and her family ate real food along the journey. She gives personal care tips for traveling, too.

Why Thank You Videos?
You know that our eCourses (both Fundamentals and Sourdough) are offered to you with a “pay what you can” offer.
And I know that our members are kind, loving, sincere people who do intend to pay what they can toward the experience.
I also know that we’re all busy. Time passes, and sometimes people don’t get around to making that payment.
That’s why we give thank you gifts. We hope that the special monthly videos provide you with a fun incentive to follow through with your good intentions. And we really enjoy being able to say thank you for helping us continue to provide the eCourse materials and services.
The eCourse: Behind The Scenes
Do you know what is behind the scenes here? In addition to spending more than full-time hours running the eCourse, we purchase large and dedicated server space to stream videos to 1000s of users. We purchase and maintain multiple pieces of software to run the secure membership site, including a top-of-the-line forum. We recently installed a security certificate to protect your personal information during transmission over the internet. We have invested in quality video, lighting, computer, and sound equipment. These are professional pieces of the puzzle, and certainly weren’t free. And last but not least, we’re committed to praying and being available for you, and intent on continually improving our services and products.

Offering the eCourse entails arranging our lives to make time for quiet filming and video production. In my home, this means laundry piles up and the dishwasher doesn’t run so I can get my shots done. This means staying up late or getting up really early for quiet time to do an audio recording. This means keeping the windows shut (when I’d really like some fresh air) so the sound of the tractor doesn’t make it in a film! This also means getting up throughout the night to make sure the next video gets exported, converted, or uploaded.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not having a pity party or looking for sympathy. I love what we do — and I thought you would like to hear more about it.
So, we’re ever so grateful (you wouldn’t believe how so) when a payment comes in. See, I know what I, my family, and our teachers, give every day (and night!) to keep the eCourse running. And when you give back, we thank the Lord for you.
Happy September, everyone! Enjoy this month’s video!

Take the guesswork out of what to fix, what to buy and what to prepare. This week:

I think these video ‘gifts’ are great! It’s a wonderful reminder at the beginning of each month. Thanks so much. I just sent a payment. Can’t wait to see Erin doing camping sourdough!!
Thanks, Tara!
Thanks Tara! Hope you enjoy the video. Bugs and all!
I loved the video and how excited your boys were to have pancakes! The bugs reminded me of our camping trip this year. My husband was taking photos of me cooking on the camp stove and in a split second I went from happy cook to unhappy cook batting bugs away from my face and food. Ha!
Thanks for the videos, I know I have enjoyed them. Can’t wait to see Erin camping.
I also want to thank you for sharing with us all of the work you have put into your eCourse and videos.
It makes me appreciate them all the more.
