This week is going to be soooo busy at GNOWFGLINS. Here’s the play by play.
Monday: Talkin’ About “Simple Lives Thursday”
Along with Diana @ A Little Bit of Spain in Iowa, Annette @ Sustainable Eats, and Alicia @ Culinary Bliss, I am hosting a new blog hop — Simple Lives Thursday: consume less, produce more.
The theme is for everyone to share what we are doing toward living a simple life. Making foods or clothes from scratch, rural or urban gardening, cooking with real food, using natural cleaners, recycling, raising animals for meat or dairy, homesteading, farming, spirituality…. I think you get the idea. And I know you’ve got lots to share.
Bloggers: This Thursday, make a post on your blog about simple living, then visit one of the four host blogs to link up your post. Your post will appear on all four blogs! Include a link in your blog post to one of the four host blogs’ Simple Lives Thursday post.
Non-bloggers: Feel free to add a comment at one of the four host blogs with any idea or thought about simple living.
I’m looking forward to what will be shared! My wheels are turning for what I share, and I hope this blog hop will get me posting again at my family blog, Such Treasures.
Tuesday: Sourdough eCourse and Tuesday Twister
The first lesson in the Sourdough eCourse will be released on Tuesday. So many have signed up, and I’m tickled about it. The class doesn’t close; you can join us anytime — but why not now?
And, the Tuesday Twister blog carnival is tomorrow, right here. Get your posts ready to share what you’ve been cooking over the last week!
Wednesday: Probiotics Every Day — Lunches
We’ll be having the second part of the Probiotics: Every Day series: lunches. What lunch ideas will you share that feature probiotic ingredients or condiments? Remember, if the probiotic ingredients are heated, we can’t consider them as offering a probiotic benefit at the meal!
I look forward to your recipes and ideas. Thanks to all who shared in the breakfast part of the series — the recipes and ideas were wonderful, and so were the comments!
Thursday: Simple Lives Thursday Blog Hop
See above and get ready!
Friday: DIY Fermentation Jar
In a guest post, an eCourse member will be sharing her homemade jar airlock for lacto-fermentation of fruits and vegetables. It’s a great idea and I’m excited to share it with you!
Busy Week, Huh?
But super fun. Which of these days most excites you? Please share!

Take the guesswork out of what to fix, what to buy and what to prepare. This week:

The blog hop sounds great! But I have to say that my new ‘simple life’ attempts have left me so busy I rarely even find time to post a blog topic lately
I’m looking forward to seeing what others are up to.
The rest of the week sounds great too. You have been busy Wardeh.

Millie – So true!!!!
Great to see you, Millie!
LOL Millie! That’s the way it is here too!
Oh but there’s so much satisfaction in a simple living!
Sounds like so much fun Wardeh, I’m excited to see what others will be posting.

Yes! Sounds like a particularly fun week. If we weren’t in the middle of building a house, butchering the first batch of meat birds, trying to rescue a garden after an extremely cold and rainy, long spring, etc. I’d participate more! As it is, I’ll enjoy reading about others’ experiences. I’m definitely excited about Friday to see the homeade airlock for fermenting! We love fermented foods–pickles, salsa, beets–but I’m still (after 3 years) working to get a consistently successful product.

Awesome! A simple living carnival. I wish I had more time for blogging, especially since I’ve recommitted myself to practicing more voluntary simplicity. I plan to blog about a very healthy inexpensive fish this week, would that qualify?

Soli – Yes, that would be great! Saving money is a simplicity topic, for sure. I look forward to what you have to share. Your renewed commitment to voluntary simplicity is wonderful. I’m sure there are areas in my life where I should do that. Great inspiration! Thanks.
Oh boy, my idea was to wait to do the sourdough ecourse, but I am so excited about it I have been reconsidering starting it now! Simple lives Thursday sounds awesome and I also am enjoying probiotics everyday! I think it’s going to be a GREAT week!
