I found a trick that works pretty well. First, refrigerate. Second, use a Butter Knife instead of a spoon.
With a spoon you have to use your tongue or lips to slurp it off the concave surface. Instead, take the slightly firmer cod liver oil and put a bunch on the butter knife as if it were whipped butter. Then stick it in your mouth and scrape it off with your teeth. Since the knife is flat like your front teeth you'll get almost all of it off. It'll also be in a nice ball shape which you can easily swallow with a gulp of water or juice. Between being cold and using the knife I barely taste it at all.

I just switched to FCLO yesterday. I bought the chocolate cream butter oil/cod liver oil blend. I read somewhere that if you add a little raw honey to it, its okay. That's what I did and it tasted really good. When I gave some to my son, he didn't want the honey. He just swallowed it and liked it the way it came from the bottle.
Today the texture seemed a little thicker because it had been refrigerated. But, again, I put raw honey on mine and he took his "straight". Neither of us had any problem with the taste but I did notice that it lingered in my mouth a little longer--probably because of the coldness and the thickness so I drank a little water afterwards.
We're both so pleased with the taste (not to mention all the benefits) that I've already ordered more.

We take the fermented CLO on a cracker at the beginning of a meal and then eat our meal to kill the aftertaste. We usually take it twice a day.

RS, I bought Green Pastures Chocolate Cream thinking this sounds like it might be good. Awful, thats why they are discounting it. Anyway I bought a baby medicine syringe and a 00 capsule filler. 1/2 teaspoon of clo fills 4- 00 capsules. Keep in refrigerator. When you want to refill more take bottle out of frig and let it sit a little bit as the clo will be a little thick from being cold and refill more capsules. The capsule filler made it very easy to do. I bought mine at Wonder labs for $14.99. Hope this helps.

Has anyone tried making their own gel caps? I've done this before with powdered supplements and it would seem pretty easy to seal the cap then inject it with a syringe. A huge package of gel caps is under $10. A bit of extra work, but it sounds like people have to work a lot to take this anyways...
