Susie – even if you don’t have one to share, you’ll be able to benefit from viewing the recipes when they’re posted on Monday. Recipes will probably be added throughout the day, as people get their posts up. I’m hoping for a good turnout! (Hint, hint, everyone!)

I would love to enjoy the recipes from the Gallery of Christmas Cookies, but I don’t have any recipes to share as we are just beginning our journey into GF/DF living and I do not have a blog as I am technology challenged. If there is another way to benefit from the recipes please let me know. Thank you!

Thank you, all for your prayers!

We have running water today and we are praising the Lord. We feel really worn out from working in cold conditions and panic mode for many hours. There is still some work to be done, but thankfully the temps are warming up and we can see the end in sight.

Marg, 9 months? Without running water? You are an amazing woman!!!!

I know what it’s like to go without running water too. We had problems with our well a few years ago and it was 9 mons. before it was resolved. I know you won’t be without that long but it is just as big a pain. Yes, you do learn to appreciate running water. I also appreciated how hard the pioneers worked for these things we take for granted.

I’m interested in seeing the gallery of cookies. I have never seen a ‘real food’ cookie.

So sorry about your water problems. We’ve recently put in a well, and have just discovered the many issues that water presents! I had always taken water for granted, but when you realize just how precious it is … wow.

I love your video of running goats! My dad says goats homogenize their milk when they run to the stanchion

Isn’t the frozen water problem ridicules? Water pipes above the ground…!
So far this week I’ve had a heating pad wrapped around the pipes and today I made a tent of old blankets and a tarp with a light bulb underneath for a heat source. Presently we do have running water (now quick! get some dishes done!)

Oh, I will definitely pray for your water situation! We had a problem with our well two days before last Thanksgiving, we called the plumber and didn’t hear back until the day before Thanksgiving… we were boiling bottled water on the stove to wash dishes so that we could try to clean the house for company! I feel your pain. Hopefully you will have water soon so YOU can make some Christmas cookies!
