Rebecca - Thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving plans! I think it is great that you enjoy entertaining and are able to do so while accounting for everyone's dietary restrictions. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

We always host Thanksgiving for my extended family. I love doing it, I love cooking and entertaining. My mother is bringing us the turkey from a farm near where she camps in the summer. Usually, the guests each bring a side, but our standards are turkey, maple-sweetened cranberry, squash, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and mashed rutabagas (which I hate but some family members love). Then I'll add whatever seems good that year. Sometimes I make homemade sourdough (probably not this year), sometimes I make a salad, sometimes some green veggie like kale. I think I will do a baked apple and sweet potato dish this year. We have somewhere between 12-20 people, many of whom have dietary restrictions, so it's good to have a range of dishes.
