My Tuesday Twister posts are my weekly round-up of what’s going on in my kitchen and our lives, as it pertains to real food. So here we go – I’ll catch you up on what’s twisting in my kitchen this week!

- Basic Soaked and Sprouted Muffins – Both recipes are in my new series (Basic Recipes) and very delicious!
- Sprouted Pancakes – These are going to be a Basic Recipe, but this batch didn’t work. They look good and the first few were awesome, but then the batter got thicker and thicker and thicker and no matter how much liquid I added, the pancakes would not cook in the center. Such is life!
- Salmon Fried in Red Palm Oil – Oh, yumm! I fried the Vital Choice Wild Salmon in a generous amount of red palm oil with a little salt, pepper and garlic. That was it. It was amazing. Easy cooking at its best.
- Water Bath for Cheese – Now that the weather is cooler and it is harder to hold the milk at a certain temperature, I brought out my canner to use as a water bath for cheesemaking. Only thing is, the thermometer I bought locally to tell me what temp the water is always reads 180 degrees. Yes, I tested it in various ways. Everything is 180 degrees (not).
- Melty Cheese – Our queso fresco cheese continues to be the easy-to-make and super-delicious favorite in our house. Look at that melty goodness in a grilled cheese sandwich!
- Chocolate Coconut Cream Frosting – I recently got some Artisana Coconut Butter and used it to make an amazing frosting for my chocolate sourdough cake. This is the chocolate frosting I will make for the rest of my life. It is so good and it behaves well – soft in fridge or at room temperature.
- Four Grain Gluten-Free Hot Cereal – I felt it was time to break the oatmeal rut, so I made this favorite hot cereal. We’ve always loved it, and it was good to enjoy again. The grains are gluten-free and now the recipe adds the crucial soaking step.

Millie – Yes, it does, but I don’t know how to describe it. It makes popcorn taste like movie theatre popcorn – and if you can imagine that kind of goodness with fish…
