Coming Up: Gallery of Soups

galleryofsoupsphoto

Get your best soup recipes ready! On Friday, October 23, 2009, gnowfglins.com will present a Gallery of Soups. Anyone can participate – and I hope you will!

I don’t think I’m the only one who can use a little inspiration in the soup department. I’d like to learn new way to flavor soups. We love soups and stews in our house and eat them all winter long, but sometimes I lack inspiration for how to vary the usual flavors. I have decided that this year, for us, is going to be the year of having soups – because of the wonderful benefits of nutrient-rich broths.

What about you? What kind of soups would you like to see? What will you contribute?

In order to participate, be prepared to share a soup/stew recipe (made from real foods, of course) and a photo of your soup/stew. Please comment below to let me know you want to participate. I will need to correspond with you via email to get your soup photo.

So Here’s What To Do

  1. Comment below to say you’ll be participating.
  2. You’ll post a soup recipe on your blog the week of but before Friday, October 23, 2009 and link it to the Gallery of Soups (that link is not live yet). You may use a soup recipe that you’ve posted previously on your blog, too. Just create a new post that week that links to the older recipe and links to the Gallery of Soups at gnowfglins.com. If you don’t have a blog, you may share a recipe in the comments of the Gallery of Soups post.
  3. I will email you with details on how to send me your photo and/or blog post link.
  4. Your photo will become part of the Gallery of Soups at gnowfglins.com, and it will be linked to your recipe, whether it is on your blog or in the comments.

So what do you think? Will you participate? What kind of soups would you like to see included?

My family loves soup as well and we eat a lot of soup especially during the winter. I would like to participate. I do use a natural vegetable broth mix (powder). I have been using it for years, but now more than every since one of my daughters has an allergy to wheat. I use this in soup, gravies, my homemade dry mix “cream of “whatever soup”, in my chicken salad, etc. It is Seitenbacher’s natural vegetable broth mix. I order this thru my local health food store.

    Thanks. Jane Lange :)

Jane – I’m glad you will participate. I’ve never heard of that vegetable broth mix, but it sounds good. I look forward to glimpsing one of your soups!

I’d love to participate! May need some technical help when it comes to posting the picture. It will be very exciting and I look forward to it. Thanks, sweet Wardeh! Love, Mom

    • Wardeh says:

Mom – I’m sure Haniya can help you with your post. :) When you have a picture, you’ll email it to me, too, as well as put it in your post. I’m glad you’re going to join in!

Sylvia – Yay! I know you have tons and tons of delicious recipes – it will be fun to see what you choose.

  5. Wardeh—I have a soup or two to share in the gallery. Will this work the same as the Tuesday Twister? Or is there a different process?

Sonya – It is a little different in that it is only going to be one time. You’ll make a post with your recipe(s) – I’ll put a picture and a link to your post in my Gallery of Soups post. I’ll send you an email with instructions.

  6. Here are a few of mine there should be pictures on these pages already and you can use them for the images of the soup.
