After many months and mental iterations, Jeff and I are both thrilled with the new GNOWFGLINS™ logo. If you’re reading this via a reader or email subscription, you may want to stop by and see our new setup in action. The layout of the site hasn’t changed, but we added the new logo, and some slight text and color changes to match.
Jeff and I have brainstormed regarding a GNOWFGLINS™ logo off and on for months. At first, I wanted to use a tomato for our logo. Tomatoes are not only my favorite food, but they are bursting with color and nutrition. I’ve always thought that growing a good tomato is the height of farming achievement. But the tomato doesn’t represent enough of the growing world, so we needed to choose something that would represent all growing things — thus the seedling. And then it only took a day or two last week to get it right.
So tell us: the good, the bad, the ugly… what do you think?

I like it very much! I love the little seedling – it’s perfect.
Wardeh and Jeff, You have both done a terrific job on the site, I watched the video on making choco chips and really enjoyed it!!
I really love where you are going with this, even tho I don’t have the health to do alot of what you teach, I am following you and living viacariously thru you!
well done! I can’t wait for what is next!
warmest and most loving hugs from Vermont..Mona
Thank you so much, Mona! We always pray for your health and wish we lived closer to be able to help you.
It’s wonderful Wardeh, I love the ‘look’.
Would you consider placing your gnowfglins name in pronunciation marks (as a dictionary does)? It should would help me tackle it and might be useful to others too
Love,
Jami
I should do that.
At least here until I find a permanent place to do it on the main page.
It is like this: g-NOWF-glinz
Where both the ‘g’s have the hard sound, not soft.
I like it!
The new logo is great – clean and crisp, I love it! Did you make it yourself? If so that is super clever of you and I’m in awe!
HI, Rachel! Yes, I did it myself. It was fun. I’ve gotten a new Mac computer recently along with a digital drawing tablet, which makes me able to doodle digitally easily.
I love the new look! I noticed it right away.
Thank you, Christie!
I love the colors and the seedling! AND the font reminds me of baby seedlings dancing to gentle springtime breezes.. Look wonderful, Wardeh! Love, Mom
It looks great!! I really like it! I think it conveys the site very well.
Thank you – Mary, Applie, Mom and Marg!
Wardeh,
It is simple and sweet. It makes me want to garden. I am glad to know now how to (try) and pronoune GNOWFGLINS.
Kelli
Thanks, Kelli! I hope to have something permanent in the sidebar soon, with dictionary pronounciation (though we are not in the dictionary!).
The new logo looks great!

I love the new logo! I showed it to my husband, who is a graphic designer and he said “it’s really simple and nice. ” I thought you would appreciate hearing that compliment from my super picky, highly-critical-of-other-people’s-logos husband.
Great job you guys!
Be Peace,
Kimbrah
Kimbrah, thank you! That is high praise.
