Non-Sticky Measuring of Liquid Sweeteners

This week’s kitchen tip comes to us from Tiffany Perez, author of “At Tiffany’s Table: Eat Your Way to Health“.

When measuring honey, molasses or maple syrup, first spray measuring cup with oil spray to prevent sticking. Honey should then slide right out!

Another take on this is – if you’re using liquid oil in a recipe, measure that first. It will leave a coating behind (much like using a spray) to help the sweetener slide out without leaving a mess behind. Thanks, Tiffany, for a great time-saver and mess-saver! Personally, I love mess-savers more than anything.
