Another tip submitted by Mary, who shared her tip for using blue painters’ tape for handy labeling of stored/freezer foods:
If I’m freezing lots of food stuff or meals, I keep a list near the freezer of things as I put them in and check off stuff as I use it so I know what’s still in there.
Such a simple thing to do, but very helpful! This could be a big help around the holidays or when you’re preparing for company. Thank you, Mary!

Great tip!
Wardeh,
You can use any of the tips from my book that you think would be helpful!
Tiffany, great! I will for sure.
Hi Wardeh! Betsy was really excited to find a kindred spirit online who she already knew! She left your blog open and I started looking around. You have quite a catalog of articles already.
We housesat once for a friend who had a whiteboard on her freezer door that provided a “map” with inventory levels, to the contents of the freezer. It was not only easy to see how much of everything there was, it saved energy by minimizing the time you needed to look or rummage around with the door open.
Nate, I was so excited she found me! That’s a great freezer tip; thanks for adding it! I popped over to your blog and was really impressed by your geek-ness. If I ever have a mysql question, I know who to ask!

Awww, shucks, thanks
I am not trying to seem impressive. All day long I just Google up the answers to my technical problems, so I just thought I would give back by making some of the hard ones more googleable.
Thanks for doing the same thing for your realms of expertise!
This is a great idea. I have requested Sir Husband to buy me a roll.
And I keep forgetting!
