Tiffany Perez, a great internet friend who keeps the Food is Good blog, has published a new cookbook - At Tiffany’s Table: Eat Your Way to Health. The recipes are not only healthy, but they’re simple to put together. However, before you read the recipes and plan which ones to try, you must read Tiffany’s testimony of how a healthy diet healed her of Crohn’s Disease. Her story is inspirational and her restoration is proof that it is possible to reverse disease through a return to healthy, unprocessed, whole, raw foods.
Not only healthy, Tiffany’s recipes are delicious! Tiffany’s recipes quite often will call for raw dairy and/or eggs, in which case, I use my milk and egg substitutes with good success. Of her recipes, my family’s favorites are: Tapioca Pudding, Sprouted Tortilla Chips, Savory Amaranth Corn Bread, Lentil Soup, Chicken Chili with White Beans, Taco Soup, Teriyaki Chicken (featuring Tiffany’s Teriyaki Sauce), and Balsamic Steak. There are so many good, simple, tasty recipes, that I couldn’t possibly list them all.
Finally, Tiffany rounds out the book with some very helpful tips to help you cut back on sugar and improve efficiency in the kitchen. I am so thankful that Tiffany has shared her knowledge and ideas with us!
