We love quinoa and cook it about once a week. Generally I just saute a little garlic and then add the quinoa and a little water and let it steam the first time. Then we use it for taboulleh or as a base for various other cold salads (tossed with steamed beans, tomatoes and basil, etc). Basically we use it for salads, I guess. I like it plain with a little salt and pepper too!

I like it sprinkled over any green salad. Although I certainly don’t make quinoa enough!

I like it in the morning with a little Kala Namak (Indian black salt) and olive oil, it’s just like scrambled eggs.

I also will toss in a sauteed onion, some mushrooms, cumin, garlic and a can of tomatoes and green chillies and sprinkle the whole thing with cheese. It’s like a Mexican style frittata.
