You might benefit from an under-the-sink water filter or a countertop distiller. Some of them can be rented for a low monthly fee. We rent a reverse osmosis filter for all our drinking/cooking water. We have a well and great tasting water, but an old pressure tank puts lead in our water, which makes it unsafe to drink (we are going to replace that tank soon...). I would suggest you do some internet research on water filters, as it has been quite awhile since I did any research on the subject.
