Disappointing Farmer’s Market Yesterday

There was only one fruit/veggie farm at the Farmer’s Market yesterday. They mostly offer bread. I ordered plums from them, but either they forgot to bring them or they didn’t have enough to give me. So, none of those to bring home. They do have the awesome heirloom tomatoes, that’s good. The only other thing I could get from them was apples, which were really tart. I’m not faulting them for that because I know early apples are usually tart. We got some of those anyway. But then I had to go to the regular grocery store for other produce. I’m bummed. We bought our weekly fruit from California, which at least is the next state south, but it isn’t local.

I’m not only disappointed for us, but for two friends who were supposed to check out our Farmer’s Market for the first time. I praised it the other day, remember?

Well, I know I’m complaining. But, I’m okay. This is all okay. We’ll make do. We’ll get what we can locally, and when we can’t, we can’t. God is good to provide food for us, and we are blessed to be able to eat as well as we do. So don’t take my complaints too seriously.
