Made an Order at Greenfeet.com
If you click on any of the links here, or in the Kitchen Store, and then make a purchase from greenfeet.com yourself, then I will get paid. And that will help to support the work I do here at GNOWFGLINS™.
I took the plunge a couple days ago and ordered a bunch of things from greenfeet.com. First of all, I ordered stainless steel water bottles. We’ve been using glass for the water we carry about, but this wasn’t the best solution. First of all, it doesn’t store Kombucha well. The Kombucha’s natural fizziness bubbles over and escapes every lid and leaks all over the place. Secondly, the acidic property of the Kombucha eats through whatever lid I use (plastic or metal) and that’s no good, either.
So I ordered one of the 12 ounce size (brown) for Jeff’s lunch serving of Kombucha. I chose the flat stainless steel lid.
And I ordered one of the 27 ounce size for each of us, for carrying our water around. They were around $16 each, including the stainless steel lid upgrade. These are Klean Kanteen bottles with the greenfeet label. Not only are these cheaper than the KK labeled bottles, but greenfeet.com gives a price break for every 2 water bottles purchased.
Then, I ordered bamboo scraper/spatulas, two of the large size. They come in small, medium and large. Come to think of it, I may have ordered a small, too. I don’t remember exactly. I’m so excited about these because I can now get rid of my plastic bowl scrapers!
Finally (and what excites me most), I ordered these old-fashioned glass refrigerator storage bowls. They have a glass lid which nests right in place. This will solve the problem I’m having now when I cover glass bowls with plates and things don’t fit well in the fridge. I ordered two medium-size and two large-size bowls.
So, there goes the money I made from making 15 tote bags. I think it will be well spent!
