Blackberry-Plum-Banana Smoothie

blackberryplumsmoothie.jpg

We had a hankering for fruit smoothies this weekend. I got out the local, organic Santa Rosa plums and local blackberries from what I froze last summer. They joined two bananas in the Vita-Mix for a delicious blended treat.

Blackberry-Plum-Banana Smoothie

  • 2 bananas, ripe
  • 2-1/2 cups frozen plums
  • 2-1/2 cups frozen blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • clean water

Place ingredients in Vita-Mix wet container or blender container. Fill with water three-quarters as high as the other contents. Turn on to variable speed 1, increase speed to 10, then flip to HIGH. Blend until smooth.

Now that looks really good. :) We still don’t have a vita-mix and our blender will not smooth out the seeds. My girls would not drink that because of the seeds. You know, Wardeh, that would be really good frozen as a freezer pops. :)
