JJ,

Silken tofu is the type of tofu that falls apart. It is smooth and custardy. The other type of tofu is more solid. Wherever tofu is sold, look for "silken" on the package.

Hi Wardeh,
I am really excited to try a dairy free salad dressing. I am always looking for healthy sauce options. I do have one question about this recipe. What is silken tofu exactly?
Thanks!

Hi,
I am grateful to find a recipe for dairy and gluten free salad dressing. I wonder in this creamy dill one, could I substitute the Tofu for a heavy whipping cream made from soy?
Thanks :)
Paula

Paula, I'm really not sure. But I would definitely try it, if it were me. Don't use any water at the beginning. Then only add some if it is too thick. I have a feeling you won't need any at all, or very little.
