It is amazing just how good ones straight out of a garden can taste. We grew a ton of baby tomatoes and they were great with salads. :)

Oh, yes, there’s nothing like it! How wonderful for you that you have grown your own. -Wardeh

Good for you! there is so much you can do with tomatoes. One year I canned 80qt and It was a lot of work. I vowed not to do so much ever again. I used them over two years and loved every meal. I hope you get all that you would like to have. I have been eating one-two tomatoes a day. I hope my body doesn’t get to acidic. can it? I love canning, have fun.

Wow! That’s alot of jars… Speaking of jars, I’m using yours. :D They are really coming in handy! I was able to can 11 quarts yesterday and it took alllll day. But it was fun. I’m glad you’re feeling better and so happy you visited me here.

What does the term ‘extra organic’ mean? I don’t believe I’ve ever heard it before. I too have been canning tomatoes; I planted heirloom varieties this spring and have been blessed with many, many tomatoes. At the rate I’m going, I may never run out of canned plum and tomato goodies! :)

That’s wonderful! I only meant by that that my friend is passing along organic tomatoes that are extra from a farm around here. She “knows” a guy and gives me some of what she gets. I am longing to have some of my own extras some day, like you!

Silly me! Must be one of my blonde moments. I was a little worried there was something more to organic I was missing out on, something extra and special, besides the ordinary loveliness of organic! *l*

You’re not silly! I don’t think I was totally clear. Anyway, now you can rest assured that you’re not missing out on anything. -Wardeh
